Flora Moses Almond Waites' Obituary
Funeral Services for Mrs. Flora Dale Moses Almond Waites, 84 of Lincoln, will be Monday, January 9, 2012 at 12 pm at Talladega Funeral Home with Rev. Jacky Morgan officiating. The family will be receiving friends Monday morning at 11 am. Burial will follow the service at Oak Bowery Baptist Church Cemetery in Ohatchee at approx. 1:30 pm. Mrs. Waites passed away Friday morning at Talladega Healthcare.
Mrs. Waites, a member of Blue Eye Baptist Church in Lincoln, was survived by her husband of 40 years Curtis Lee Waites, her stepson Curtis Dean Waites (Kaye), grandson Thomas Lassetter (Dana), great grandchildren Kaylee and James Lassetter, and a number of nieces of nephews. She is also survived by her four sister-in-laws Ruby Moses, Laura Adams, Margaret Waites, and Beatrice Hindman. She is preceded in death by her parents Emmett and Evie Moses, her first husband S.H. Almond, her sisters Clara Bell Alward and Katherine Moses, and two brothers Vernon Moses and William Clyde Adams.
Mrs. Waites, a retired LPN, worked at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA, Cook Springs Health Care, and Talladega Healthcare during her career.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Lakeside Hospice. The family would like to thank the administration, staff, and Alzheimer's Unit at Talladega Healthcare. They would also like to thank Dr. Stanley Jett and staff.
