Talladega-Mr. Elbert Gregory Chapman, 66, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. Mr. Chapman loved working and living life to the fullest. He especially loved his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: Elbert and Fay Chapman; 2 brothers: Randy and Rodney Chapman; 1 sister: Renae Chapman; 1 niece: Justin Koss. He is survived by his wife: Debbie Chapman; 2 sons: Rocky Knighten, Gregory “Pete” Chapman (Brittany Horton); 3 daughters: Gretchen Knighten, Brittany Chapman (Christopher White), Kayla Chapman; 2 sisters: Diane Wesley (Gerald), Wendy Hale (Jamey Popham); 9 grandchildren: Clayton Walters, Kylee Chapman, Cameron Chapman, Keegan Chapman, Kelton Montgomery, Landyen Chapman, Bentley Martin, Tatum Chapman and Kyler Jones and a host of other family and friends. The family will have a memorial service for Mr. Chapman on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 3:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ottis Graves officiating. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
