Doris Baur Davis' Obituary
Funeral services Doris Baur Davis, 78, of Talladega will be Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Talladega Funeral Home with Rev. Otis Graves officiating. Burial will follow the service in Midway Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, December 27, 2016, from 12: to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis passed away Friday, December 23, 2016, at Brookwood Baptist Citizens Hospital.
Mrs. Davis was a resident of Talladega for 58 years. She was born in Stuttgart, Germany. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Davis was a former member of the Talladega Rescue Squad.
She is survived by her daughters Judy (Roland) Barber of Talladega; Zelda (Lonnie) Gunter of Anniston; and Wilma (Lavelle) Mowery of Munford. She is survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her father, Xavier Baur; her mother, Johanna Six Baur; her husband, Clarence Davis; her son, R. Xavier Spurling; her daughter, Christine Wilson; and granddaughter, April Harrell.
The following people will serve as pallbearers: Adam Barber, Matthew Walker, Thomas Bridges, James Wilson, Jr., L. J. Mowery, and Logan Adkison.
