Cody Brette Highfield's Obituary
Cody Brette Highfield, age 36, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Though his time here was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared with family and friends will be cherished forever.
Cody enjoyed Alabama football, NASCAR racing, and spending time fishing whenever he had the opportunity. He especially loved being outdoors and spending time with those closest to him. Above all, Cody loved his children and his family, who meant the world to him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Thrower; his brother, Andrew Jobson; his grandfather, Gordan Duncan; and his grandparents, Zera and Randall Jobson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mothers, Angela Highfield (Josh) and Sissy Thrower; his two sons, Christian Highfield and Camdyn Highfield; his brothers, Blake Jobson (Kandie) and Tyler Johnson; his sisters, Kayla Thrower (Darion) and Jessica Bryant (Chris); his grandparents, Shirley Hurst (Rickey), Norma Peppers, Lynn Griffin (Ken), and Grady Thrower (Patsy); along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service celebrating Cody's life will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Cosby Funeral Home Chapel.
