Munford-Christopher Andrew Gortney, 39, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. Mr. Gortney is preceded in death by his parents: Jimmy “Pete” and Sandy Gortney; grandmother: Jeanette Birchfield. He is survived by his wife: Tiffany Gortney; 3 sons: Colby, Braxton and Rylan Gortney; brother: Daniel Gortney; sister: April Sirmans (Zach); father and mother-law: Clint and Kelley Bell; nephew: Jacob Sirmans; 2 neices: Megan and Gracie Sirmans; grandparents: Henry “Jimmy” and Brenda Gortney, Paul and Shirley Birchfield; brother in-law: Todd Blackburn and special friends: Chance and Danielle Haywood. Chris loved Dallas and Alabama football, traveling with his family and his truck but he especially loved and adored his wife and boys. The family will receive friends, at 5:00pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024 in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The memorial service will start at 6:00pm with Chris Chastain officiating. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
