Chason Roger Barber Jr.'s Obituary
Lincoln-Mr. Chason Roger Barber, Jr, 86, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 21, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Talladega Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Hall’s Chapel Cemetery in Lincoln. Rev. Jackie Bentley will officiate. Having originated from Miami, FL., Mr. Barber has lived in Talladega County for over 50 years. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Blue Eye Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Barber is preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Whitten Barber; parents, Mary and Chason Barber, Sr.; sister, Gail Wetherill; and brother, Daryl Barber. He is survived by his daughters, LaJean (Ronnie) Turner and Robin (Joe) Young; grandsons, Heath (Heather) Turner, Justin (Kristy) Turner, and Chad (Amberly) Turner; as well as 4 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Bill Nichols State Veteran’s Home in Alexander City. Talladega Funeral Home to direct the services.
