Mr. Charles Langdon Wood Sr.'s Obituary
Talladega-Graveside services for Mr. Charles Langdon Wood, Sr., 95, of Talladega will be at 3:00pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Sam Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:30pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation prior to the service. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie and May Wood; wife: Mary Baughn Wood; brothers: Robert C. and John Franklin Wood. He is survived by his son: Charles L. Wood Jr. and Robin; 3 grandchildren: Dade, Mackenzie, and Hallie Wood; great grandchild: Ophelia Lee. Charles worked for seventeen years for Stretch Tex Corporation of Talladega and 30 years for the Talladega Clay Randolph CAA and retired in 1994. He was a member of Cragdale Baptist Church for 79 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War (1950-1952). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cragdale Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be close family and friends. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
