Mrs. Cathy Marie Bates Spurling's Obituary
Funeral Services for Mrs. Cathy Bates Spurling, 62 of Talladega, will be Monday, June 13, 2016 at 2 PM at West End Church of God with Bro. Ottis Graves and Bro. Charles Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Memory Gardens. Friends are welcome to begin arriving at the church at 1 PM. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 to 8 PM at Talladega Funeral Home. Mrs. Spurling passed away Friday night at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.
Mrs. Spurling was a member of West End Church of God. She is preceded in death by her parents Aline T. Bates and Sam Bates, Jr.; her daughter Sandra Davis; and her sister Billie Faye Heath.
She is survived by her husband Tony Spurling; 3 daughters: Toni Michelle Spurling, January Hazelwood(Mike Collins), and Carrie Estes; Grandchildren: Jacob Heath, Joey Johnson, Joshua Heath, Eli Hazelwood, Livvy Collins, Justin Bush, and Jay Johnson; 7 great grandchildren; her sister Patricia Waldrup; and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin Bush, Barry Waldrup, Jacob Heath, Joshua Heath, Joey Johnson and Eli Hazelwood. Honorary Pallbearers are Tim Waldrup, Barry Hazelwood and Christian Waldrup.
