Rev. Buck Harvey Bowlin's Obituary
Talladega-Reverend Buck Harvey Bowlin, 83, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Rev. Bowlin served as the Talladega County Revenue Commissioner for 9 years. He was over the wastewater treatment for the city of Sylacauga for 7 years. He pastored for 52 years and ministered for 57 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Claudia J. Bowlin. He is survived by 2 sons: Michael Bowlin (Rhonda); Harvey Bowlin (Sandra); 2 daughters: Melinda Roberts (Jeff); Lanese Cosby (Kim); 1 brother: Randy Bowlin; 2 sisters: Rita Beck; and Ollie Wadsworth; 10 grandchildren: Alysa Bogan; Michael Bowlin; Darrell Bowlin; Cody Roberts; Hollie Bradford; Heather Polk; Heath Cosby; Phillip Bowlin; Wes Bowlin; Scotty Gold and 16 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 1:00PM-2:00PM in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00PM with Rev. Raymond Stewart and Rev. Stephen Uptain officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers: Phillip Bowlin; Wes Bowlin; Darrell Bowlin; Heath Cosby; Cody Roberts; George Bradford and D.J. Polk. Burial will be at Midway Memory Gardens. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
