Mr. Bobby Wayne Curlee Sr.'s Obituary
Talladega-Mr. Bobby Wayne Curlee Sr., a lifelong resident of Talladega, Alabama, passed away on August 7, 2024, at the age of 84. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who left an indelible mark on his community through his dedication to his family and his entrepreneurial spirit.
Bobby was the owner and operator of Bobby's Electric, a successful appliance and electrical services company, as well as Curlee Wrecker Service. His strong work ethic and commitment to serving his community were evident throughout his career until his retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mrs. Gaye Louise Collins Curlee, and their five children: Melissa Gaye Curlee, Janet Lynn Whitley, Bobby Curlee Jr., Mary Beth Gardner, and Marvin Harrison Curlee. Bobby also leaves behind his brothers, Franklin Curlee and George William Curlee, as well as twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory.
Bobby's legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched as a businessman, family man, and pillar of the Talladega community. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 2:00pm-4:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. A graveside service will follow at 4:00pm at Oak Hill Cemetery with Mr. James Rex Gaither and Mr. Bobby Curlee Jr. officiating. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
