Billy Smith's Obituary
Funeral Services for Mr. Gene Smith, 60 of Lincoln, will be Saturday, June 1 at 11 AM at Talladega Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashland. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 AM Saturday. Mr. Smith passed away Wednesday afternoon at his residence.
Gene was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed gardening and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents James Woodrow Smith and Evelyn Lett Smith. He leaves behind his wife Darlene Griffin Smith, his two sons Dean Smith, his wife Erin, and their son Bravon; and Jonathan Smith and his children Taylor and Madison; his brother James W. Smith, Jr. and wife Anne; his sister Jane Smith Evans and husband Frank, and several nieces and nephews.
Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
