Benjamin Franklin Faulkner's Obituary
Talladega- Benjamen “Benny” Franklin Faulkner, 73, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018. His family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Rev. Billy Epperson will officiate. Rev. Cal McIntyre will provide special music. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Faulkner was a lifelong citizen of Talladega and worked for the Talladega County Bus Shop. He was a member of the AEA and NEA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Faulkner; parents, Zollie Falkner and Pauline Kelley; and stepfathers George Phillips, Sr. and Calvin Kelley. Mr. Faulkner is survived by his daughter, Julie (Joseph) Cardwell; brothers: George (Kay) Phillips, Anthony Falkner, Albert Falkner, Freddie (Sukit) Cheeks; sisters: Margaret (William) Cheeks, Betty Cheeks, Melinda Kelley, Mary Ellen (Greg) Roach, Novia Durrough, and Sheila White; grandchildren, Katie Cardwell (Jake Strickland), Mychal Cardwell, and Vincent Cardwell. Pallbearers will be friends, family, and coworkers of Talladega County Bus Shop. Honorary Pallbearers are Mychal Cardwell, Vincent Cardwell, and Jake Strickland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ribbons of Hope Foundation, care of Pat Horne Hogge, 800 Shelton Shores Dr., Talladega, AL 35160. Talladega Funeral will direct the services.
