Talladega-Mr. Anthony Lane Pilkington, 73, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Mr. Pilkington was a native of Talladega. He loved to fish, and spend time with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother: Perry Lee Pilkington; father: James Monroe Pilkington; son: Scott Allen Pilkington; brother: James Monroe Pilkington, Jr.; sister-in-law: Peggy Pilkington; nephew: James Lee Pilkington. He is survived by his wife: Jane Pilkington; son: Anthony "Tony" Pilkington and his wife Gail; 2 sisters: Rhonda Yarborough and her husband Druel, Andra Faye Wilson; 3 grandchildren: Jesse Mitchell, Brooke Mitchell, Gavin Wayne Allen Pilkington. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 12:00noon-1:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home chapel for visitation. The service will follow in the chapel at 1:00pm with Bro. Cliff Goodwin officiating. Burial will be at Limbaugh Chapel Cemetery with Daniel Barnett, Matt Barnett, Grayson Coker, Mike Garrett, Stephen Smith, West Hammick and Van Smith serving as pallbearers. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
